WORKING OF MIRACLES

Here is the big secret! You are created in God’s image and likeness so you can fully represent Him. A lot of believers have been waiting for God to do the signs. God too has been waiting for them to obey His command and use His ability already deposited inside of them to do miracles. The truth is miracles don’t just happen, they are worked out! How? Through your sonship. Signs and wonders are the birth right of every believer. You are programmed for it. It is part of God’s design for your Sonship.

“Behold I and the children whom the Lord hath given to me are for signs and for wonders” Isaiah 8:18 (KJV)

Every believer that is baptized with the Holy Spirit becomes a Holy Spirit carrier. One of the main functions of the Holy Spirit inside a believer is to perform miracles. Every Holy Ghost filled believer is therefore a potential miracle worker.

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils,…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”

Mark 16:17-18

This may not sound religious but the truth is that God does not work miracles, but has given the believers the mandate to do so as an evidence of his or her faith in Christ Jesus. This however explains the reason why many wait and wait for God but nothing happens to their situation and circumstance. Of course, God also at the same time must have been waiting and waiting for them to do something through faith. Nothing is done to make something happen.

When He (God) gave Moses a rod (a type of the name of Jesus) in the old dispensation, He gave it to Moses to do signs.

“And thou shall take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shall do signs”

Exodus 4:17 (KJV)

Our Rod of Jesse - The name of Jesus (Isaiah 11:1-2 : our own rod of Moses of today) is given to believer to do signs. With the name and in the name of Jesus, every believer has a mandate to do signs, to operate in the realm of miraculous even greater than what Moses experienced in Egypt.

The working of the miracles is one of the remarkable gifts of the Holy Spirit. Listen to this:

“There are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit… And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all….For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom…. To another the working of miracles….”

1 Corinthians 12:4-10 (KJV)

The above scripture is very clear. It says to believer, the Spirit gives the “the working of miracles,” not the waiting for miracles or the watching for miracles. This simply tells you that miracles don’t just happen; they are worked out by the Spirit of Jesus in the believer, through conscious efforts of faith in the believer.

It is unfortunate that many today hide under the excuse that they don’t have the gift of the working of miracles. But I tell you, this is a lie of the devil to keep you perpetually in your state of defeat and suffering. You need to reject his lies and agree with God’s word that clearly says “…And these signs (miracles. Healings, deliverances, prosperities, etc) shall follow them that believe….” Are you a believer? If so, then the signs are meant to follow you. Amen!

God’s Principle

God’s principle doesn’t change concerning how He works in us and through us from the beginning till now.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure”

Philippians 2:13

God works inside you for you to work it out in order to show forth His glory. That is the principle. His principle requires that you need to play a part before His work inside of you will become manifest and reveals His glory to people outside. You need to play your part if you want to see a manifestation of your desire.

Take salvation for instance. It is free gift of God. You don’t struggle for it, you don’t work hard for it. You are not expected to pay any price. The price has been paid on the cross by Jesus. Yet for you to be saved, you must take some definite steps on your own.

First, you will need to decide to believe the gospel in your heart.

Second, by faith you will need to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior with your mouth and ask Him to come to your life and save you. This is your own part you must play. Free as it is, salvation doesn’t just fall on you by chance. It’s a clear case of choice and responsibility of you to make a choice as well.

The same principle applies to healings or divine health. God has made provision for it as He made for salvation. We only need to take definite steps to actualize it by using our mouth to claim and proclaim it, believing in our hearts what the word of God says about our situation and circumstance.
